Ruma is a beautiful, willful and feisty young lady who falls in love with the sweet, sinful and very handsome Lakshman. The love is perfect just like them, made for each other. They balance each other, where Ruma is driven by her passion, Lakshman strategizes so they can be together. The book is a quick read more so because the story is an interesting one with the lead pair having good chemistry. I would not have minded reading a longer book with more interaction between Ruma and Laki.
Ruma’s parents have already chosen a guy for her and they typically think, ‘log kya khaege – what will people say’ ensures that her family refuses to even consider that she would marry anyone else. Parental pressure, societal norms and young love make this an exciting read.
Finding support from unexpected corners and secrets from both their families add to the drama of this sweet and sinful love story. Since this series is about one family, I am enjoying getting to know all the different characters. Each brother is unique, well etched and the stories are quite different too. Even though all of them have a hint of homeliness, yet they are independent and very in tune with the current generation.
Her Secret Husband is the third novella in the Marriages made in India series and this book moves along the similar fast, hot pace of the other books in the series. A well written, crisp novella that had me eager to read the next one.
Good thing Sundari writes so fast or else I would keep waiting for my next fix since I do not re-read books.
Her Secret Husband – a refreshing read that shares young love, a good storyline and a sweet romance with readers.
