I never ever imagined myself to be one an artist but is not every human being an artist?
Such a confusing thought! So are you an artist or an I ?
I might not be creative in the typical sense with painting, drawing, and singing, dancing but surely there must be something I might be good at!!
Writing, debates, doing MC for so many occasions that I have lost count does not qualify as being an artist but it does involve being creative! How about when many a time an impromptu cover up for numerous slip ups and goof ups!
Well, I can’t draw a straight line to save my life but I have discovered a new love, a step ahead to my love of doodling. It is Tangling.
I have been eagerly following Laurel since I learned about Tangling from her posts during the 2014 A to Z Challenge.
Yes they both doodling and tangling are not the same thing; quite different in fact.
Know more about Zentangle here…
“The Zentangle Method is an easy to learn, fun and relaxing way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.”

I totally agree, it is a very relaxing method and perfect to unwind. Even when I am trying to copy an intricate design, the freedom to follow my strokes is quite relaxing much like doodling. Only more defined.
Also thanks to Laurel Regan @Alphabet Salad who with her exquisite designs has me hooked.
I am trying to get some what decent designs eventually.
Right now I am a work in progress!
So I would still not call myself very creative and probably not an artist.
Here are a few pictures of my first attempts at tangling……..

Tell me what you think?
Am I on my way to being an artist?
