Old Young Love – A Wedding at the Orange Blossom Inn.

A WEDDING AT ORANGE BLOSSOM INN  is a story about second chances and I found the best part of the book was that almost all the issues that would affect a second marriage were addressed. The author has a clear storyline and step by she went about airing all the possible reasons people would discourage Emma to remarry.  I loved the part where they try not to second guess god’s handiwork and accept that they can find love a second time.

“Being alone forever is a mighty long time.”

Both loved their spouses deeply and yet find soulful companionship with each other. Jay and Emma are unsure at times conflicted yet open their hearts to each other and their children.
The naughty, greedy dog brings the two families together and gives a lot of laughs making an adorable yet exasperating pet. Lot of laughs, fun family times in this book. Peppered with the thoughts of the lovers, whether it is Emma and Jay or Ben and Trica. The insights into their minds add to the depth of this love story.

I am a fan of Shelley’s writing and this book was no different. Amish are appreciated so wonderfully, explaining and cherishing their way of life. Here too the author has done justice to the family and children that form the basis of the Amish way of life. The kids are the most important part of a parent life and more so since they have lost a spouse. As ideal parents both Emma and Jay always put their family first and move with the needs of their children.

The second love story was that of young, giddy love. Ben and Trica are so young but the clarity of thought and how well they know their mind made me appreciate young love again. These both manage to impress with their confidence, faith and commitment to each other. Young love is truly so innocent, reminding us why love is so powerful.

“Some moments are so beautiful, only tears can tell our joy.”

The story of Brittany and her boss had been going on since the previous book I had read in the series and I hope I get to read her romance soon. Hopefully I will be reading her story in
A Christmas Bride in Pinecraft (Amish Brides of Pinecraft #4)  very soon!

Second chance at love with  young love showing the way, what a lovely way to cherish love and share happiness.

A Wedding at the Orange Blossom Inn
(Avon Inspire, September 2015)

A wedding brings together two young widowed parents . . . and gives them a second chance at love.

Emma Keim was heartbroken when her husband, Sanford, passed away, leaving her to raise three young daughters alone. Though several years have passed, her relatives have made it no secret that they expect Emma to remain a widow, mourning Sanford indefinitely. But when she meets Jay Hilty—a handsome widower with three young sons of his own—Emma is delighted to have a new friend who understands her struggles. Still, she is dismayed that her family is so opposed to their friendship—and the idea of it ever becoming anything more. She honors her husband’s memory every day, but is she destined to be alone forever?

Emma’s gentleness with Jay’s boys stirs something in his heart that’s been quiet for far too long. But when his oldest son becomes engaged to a local woman, suddenly Jay, Emma, and their children are swept up in wedding preparations. Witnessing his son’s joy, Jay wonders if it’s time for him to move forward, too, and find happiness again.

Once again, love has come to Pinecraft. But can these two parties of four become a happy, healthy family of eight?
