I went into the kitchen thinking of something and doing something else. I switched on the kettle to make a cup of tea and heard a rustling noise from the pantry. As I turned around to I saw the bag of cornflakes lying near the door moving on its own.

I hesitated and thought it got unbalanced and is toppling. As I picked it up sharp claws ran over my foot and I screamed hurling abuses that would put a sailor to shame.
From the corner of my eye I saw a Mole Rat scurrying away.
An unexpected visitor indeed!!

Moles are generally harmless, gentle creatures and do not cause damage to property like rats.
