Recently, I took the pledge for parity as a small step to support and spread awareness of the many stereotypes that plague us as individuals and families that stop gender parity.
Here, I share my thoughts and urge you to join the cause.
This year, the theme is #PledgeForParity which means that “Everyone – men and women – can pledge to take a concrete step to help achieve gender parity more quickly.”
Whether to help women and girls achieve their ambitions, call for gender-balanced leadership, respect and value difference, develop more inclusive and flexible cultures or root out workplace bias.
Each of us can be a leader within our own spheres of influence and commit to taking pragmatic action to accelerate gender parity.”
I have taken the pledge, and I urge you to take it too.
Ask your friends and family, too.
Make a difference, appreciate the women who work, the girls who drive not just cars but buses, trucks and trains.
Let your little girl play football or learn Taekwondo; it only makes her stronger and more confident.
