V is for ladies leaving a mark on the writing scene and victory for me. The end is so near, I can almost see it. I still got a couple of older alphabets to post but I hope to catch up over the weekend. Hopefully I should have good, fast WiFi too. Two lovely ladies make for a beautiful V. I have featured so many different authors but today I have authors for my favorite genre – romance. And boy! Do these ladies know how to make our heart flutter and make us drool and swoon!! First up is Sundari Venkatram who has been writing and self publishing books with a lot of emphasis on family & love. Next is Milan Vohra who is credited for writing the first M&B for India! Love makes the world go round and here we go…..
Sunadri venkatraman absolutely loves the ‘lived happily ever after’ syndrome as Sundari grew up reading all the fairy tales she could lay her hands on, Phantom comics, Mandrake comics and the like. It was always about good triumphing over evil and a happy end. Soon, into her teens, she switched her attention from fairy tales to Mills & Boon. While she loved reading both of these, she kept visualising what would have happened if there were similar situations happening in India; to a local hero and heroine.
Milan Vohra is an advertising consultant, author and insomniac. She reckons it’s actually a good thing she’s nocturnal or she’d never find time to write. One of her stories won a Harlequin contest and made her India’s first Mills and Boon author. ‘The Love Asana’ went on to become extremely popular both in India and South Africa where it was released.
So here are my choices for V, Which is your favorite?
I am writing about INCREDIBLE INDIAN AUTHORS for the A to Z Challenge 2015.
