Favorite Five #Quotes with Romila

Quotes are short sentences that contain huge wisdom within themselves. I absolutely love finding apt quotes for all situations and when I got the opportunity to share my favorite #quotes it was a delight. I hope you like them too.

Romila is no stranger on my blog. She is an author, writer, and blogger. She has written books and has been blogging for many, many years now. Be sure to check out her recent book The Three Flowers, and here is the interview with the author herself.

I was asked by Romila to share my favorite five but what? So many choices and to narrow it to just five is not easy. I think I am going to do a series of #FavoriteFive on the blog. It has been fun doing this. Here is what I shared with her……

When Romila asked me to do a Favourite 5 for her blog I was honored and a bit worried. Choosing just five of anything is quite difficult for me. I thought books initially but I knew I could not restrict myself to just five so it was quotes since it feels less like cheating than books 😉

Words are integral to our lives and as writers, we love them a bit more than the rest.

Here are my favorite five quotes –

The first one has to be about books for I firmly believe that all books give us some learning whether we like it or not. So pick a book and broaden your horizon.

Some of my favorites: “Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.” Robert F Kennedy
And, “The wound is where the light enters you.” Rumi
And, “Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at it’s destination full of hope.” Maya Angelou.
