Obamas Incentive #BarWoWe

Obamas_Official-portrait

The #ObamaFarewell had sent me into an overdrive and a hangover. I barely watched the inauguration ceremony and quietly moved to YouTube to watch the past videos of Michelle & Barrack Obama.

I may not be directly affected by their departure and they have really not gone but still, I felt the loss. It was not that they were doing something extraordinary but how they conducted themselves that mattered.

I am a firm believer of ‘actions speak louder than words’ so they impressed me on multiple levels. What they spoke that is what they emulated. Each of us has a reason for what we do, our incentive. This quote got me thinking or rather I was thinking about the Obamas and this thought connected. What was the driving force for them, their ‘incentive’ according to – Nikita Khrushchev who said,  “Call it what you will, incentives are what get people to work harder.”

I think that they are good human beings and that drives them to be better, do better. Their natural instinct is to do things to the best of their abilities. Set standards and follow them through. Lead by example is what best defines them.

I have been a fan from day one and will continue to be so. My only dilemma? Who do I like more, Michelle or Barack? I think Michelle for she strikes a fine balance but then I am biased. 😀

I don’t need to list their positives here since the world already knows but I would love to hear your point of view about the ‘incentive’ that kept Obama’s setting such exemplary standards for all.

What do you think?
What motivates them?
What are their incentives?
Do you idolize them just like I do?

I like them both for being so eloquent and doing the right things. They have been very humane in their approach. Exactly what is needed at that level 😉

Obama and Michelle, both have set some high standards when it comes to behaviour as President and First Lady of a nation and I think working for the betterment of the nation in a fulfilling way might be their incentives.

I think part of the reason that they were able to leave back the legacy they did is because they both succeeded and were succeeded by Presidents who weren’t really that popular even during the campaign stages. So, yes 0- all credit to the Obamas, but I think that fact that all they had to do is maintain decorum and be human and eloquent, would definitely set them apart from the previous presidents/first families.
Of course, I’m biased towards Obama and Michelle – they’re the stuff of what Presidents and their families and any public figure should aim to be.
And nwo replaced by Donald Trump and Melania – s**t is about to hit the fan 😛

I do admire them. Especially Obama because of all that he did achieve in spite of so much outright racism and everything done to ssabotage his plans by the houses. Look at the dignity he maintained… the sheer poise and values. Yes, we are seeing the opposite inverse of that now and it must hurt him so much to see that USA chose this Orange monstrosity… but it doesnt take away for a moment the sheer good he aimed for from his heart. History will judge him kinder than his fellow Americans.

Oh yes. I just cannot take my eyes off Michelle Obama. She is statuesque, elegant and always in control. I love the way she conducts herself and when she speaks, it is clear, direct and honest. No giggling and other girly antics. Compare with the new First Lady. She looks a bit unsure in her role right now.
