Rock Solid Romance #RockAddiction by Nalini Singh

Rock Addiction is definitely an addictive book. This is the fourth book that I have read by Nalini Singh yet I still find her writing as fresh and absorbing as the first book that I read. They were the part of the Psy-Changling series and I am eager to get back to reading them but first I am going to read all four books in the Rock Series – yes that good is the narration and characterisation. I want to know all their stories.

When I had picked this book, I thought rock stars would be out of control, vitriolic, and junkies to stand out and grab the reader – how wrong was I. This book has a sweet, mushy love story at the core of the book and that is what makes it stand out. Nalini has written about love and how much we all need it and no matter who you are or how famous you are, if love grabs you then you are a goner!

Fox and Molly are well etched that they felt so real and relatable. Molly with her insecurities and fear is pretty real and endearing. Her simple life and hesitation to follow a heart tug at the heart strings. That she knows it all can only lead to trouble and it does yet she follows Fox.

Love is so hard but then all good things are. She is still recovering from the childhood scandal her family faced and it is only Zachary who is her pillar of strength.

The Hero, Fox is larger than life, hot and sinful – the lead singer of the Band. He falls for Molly at an event and just keeps falling. His strength and integrity are what makes him stand apart and endears. I was glued to the pages yet with each obstacle and controversy they faced and vanquished I fell for them and their kind of love again and again.

The finale where Fox goes on stage to proclaim his love for Molly and shows the world his special, secret gesture was just too cute. (Yes, I am not telling what he did. 😉 )

I see a lot of spinoffs from various novels, it is a trend that has caught on in a big way but the treatment is not always spot on. Not so in the case of the Rock Addiction. I am already eager to know more about the characters introduced in this series. David, Noah and Abe and their band manager and the Grumpy hunk of a boss – the list is endless.

Pick this book to read a toe-curling hot, mushy romance which is a page turner – will not let you sleep kinds. Almost perfect with  5 shiny stars indeed.

A bad boy wrapped in a sexy, muscled, grown-up package might be worth a little risk…

Molly Webster has always followed the rules. After an ugly scandal tore apart her childhood and made her the focus of the media’s harsh spotlight, she vowed to live an ordinary life. No fame. No impropriety. No pain. Then she meets Zachary Fox, a tattooed bad boy rocker with a voice like whiskey and sin, and a touch that could become an addiction.

A one-night stand with the hottest rock star on the planet, that’s all it was meant to be…

Fox promises scorching heat and dangerous pleasure, coaxing Molly to extend their one-night stand into a one-month fling. After that, he’ll be gone forever, his life never again intersecting with her own. Sex and sin and sensual indulgence, all with an expiration date. No ties, no regrets. Too late, Molly realizes it isn’t only her body that’s become addicted to Fox, but her heart…

Yes, the book is equally good. I am a big fan of Nalini Singh. Had been hearing such good things from some of my favorite and best selling Indian romance authors so picked one book and never regretted it.
