  1. What kinds of books do you read? When you pick up books to read, what is your favourite genre?

My bookshelf has everything from fiction to spiritual to wimpy kid and romance, thriller and adventure. To name a few which I love reading most are Paulo Coelho, Richard Carlson, Robert A Schuller, Theresa Cheung, Rhonda Byrne, Khaled Hosseini and newly added Paul Hollis Aditi Chopra, Anuja Chauhan and Raksha Bharadia

  1. This is your third book in the life series, tell us about your other books? Also, could share how your writing journey started ?

I’m in love of the written words and as a child I got inspired by my Dad who was an avid reader as well and as a teen way through the local public library made me curious about books. Further in school my English teacher got irritated since I was the one who least remembered completing Wren & Martin exercises given as assignment but loved writing choosing variety of pencils and colourful pens.

I’ve always written. At school some poems, loved writing essays and comprehension a bit different from my classmates in likely to be in good books of our Most respectable English teacher who never failed to quote negative comments but that always kept the desire to write more constantly burning inside when finally, I could see her smile at me. Later I wrote for the college magazine two decade ago, and past couple of years now I’ve been penning down up inspiration words from life and tough lessons learned still learning and jotting them down as a hobby via my blog- A Living Series.

Since life was always not easy for me it gave me nothing for free. No one is spared and no one can escape either. But you need to see things distinctly and this ability clears the path. I experienced high and ebb tides in my life. The legal cases accompanied by broken marriage and the divorce that ensued had driven me towards unending episodes of severe migraines that would not leave me until I injected painkillers.

At one time, the circumstances shattered me into millions of pieces and eventually led my spirit to get entangled in questions and I started to decay in this pool of depression.

When the time flowed swiftly through the hole in the hour glass, I eventually witnessed that I had a scope that was very positive. I found a new me in the process. While repairing all my broken pieces that had got shattered, I discovered an incredible energy which was flowing profusely with an optimistic vibe towards this meaningful life. This is how my first book Living A More Meaningful Life was rooted.

During the ordeal of court cases 2 and half years I did wrote early mornings that acted as a stress buster for me. Thus Elements of Life, my second book got released during my crucial period of court trials last year in December and Colours of Life this Holi. I now say yes, there are many seasons painted in all vibrant colours.

  1. What were the challenges (research, literary, psychological, and logistical) in bringing Kaleidoscope – Colours of Life Book to life ?

Writing during the crucial period of court matters and surviving alone with my kids with no family support there were financial and other issues that I took as a challenge as there was no looking back Inderpreet.

There was a phase Inderpreet when me and my kids were without food for three days this left me broken but I did believe if I am on this path God would lead me and I did surrender myself to God and all answers were before me one after other!

What could be better challenge than this!  I did suffer and survived 22 years of domestic violence headed with betrayal of relationship but I didn’t give up. I chose not to surrender but fight with leaving behind my footprints as an inspiration for others.

The Kaleidoscope – Colours of Life pages the accounts of my own experiences, stories told by other people and the thoughts that I dwelled on while travelling through the times of my hardship and adversities, which just harnessed my true potential and discover the real me.

  1. Can you share a little of your current work with us? What are you working on now?

‘Transitions’ Walks of Life – my 4th book in A living series.

Transitions are the cooling phases that help one to go with ease to cope with the previous loss due to life tragedies or traumas to simply preparing oneself providing with simple yet elegant insightful and self-awareness in the process.

The transition deals with collations of ending phase the neutralised phase or the stranded time that’s without any movement and relates the zero phase exceeded later as the beginning of new phase where one is totally acceptable to meet up with the new version of self.

While we are still facing a problem in life or dealing with life tragedy we dwell in complex thinking now what’s the point here regarding complexity.

Well a complex thinking is again unclear collage of thoughts, a collection of feelings, attitudes, behaviour and memories that would concentrate and lead a convergence of single focal point that could trigger depression.

Consequently, the more segments of sensitivities attached the more influence and impact that could lead inner turmoil.

Every desolation state offers a unique opportunity to meet your inner self that helps you to fight with the inner turmoil by strengthening the courage to accept the change.

It is not an easy task to move forward when you witness to life tragedy we need to fully experience this transitions as they promote inner growth and safe guard your thoughts. Keep smiling keep shining!

Thank you, Inderjit for sharing your thoughts, dreams and goals with my readers. I wish you all the best for future endeavours. Hope to hear many more words of wisdom from you.
