Through the month of April I am writing along with 1900 participants for the A to Z Challenge. My theme for the Alphabet Challenge is FEELINGS and FICTION. The happy, sad, funny, silly, envious, over the top and totally low down account of feelings in 100 words of fiction.
His eyes gave away the emotion he felt even as he tried to mask it with his somber expression. She looked at him silently while her hands were busy arranging the flowers. She began chanting and offered the various savories and sweets in tiny portions at the lord’s feet while stealing glances at him. She held his hand as she offered the milk from the tumbler. He moved closer to her and chanted with her, hands held. She turned to look at him and he smiled at her as she lit the holy lamp. Her eyes shone with his acceptance.
Here are the feelings I explore!

That’s a fantastic bit of writing. Love is a great topic, and the perfect emotion for this letter.
Love needs no words, looks and glances can do it! Poignant piece!

I read this as a woman having a deeply spiritual experience with her God. Simple words, and yet very powerful. Thanks for sharing! Oh, and I also used Love as my #AtoZChallenge theme today 😉 https://spookymrsgreen.com/2016/04/14/atozchallenge-l-is-for-love/
I loved the pieces you have written, exploring different emotions 🙂 Beautiful post.

A mother’s devotion, lovingly reassures a child to let go of his inhibitions and join in the ritual.
That’s an interesting take on love.
Yay! Indy… this piece of yours is the perfect example of showing and not telling. Your words show, not tell, thus, even without saying the word ‘love’, your poignant piece surely makes our heart skip a beat. <3
