Through the month of April I am writing along with 1900 participants for the A to Z Challenge. My theme for the Alphabet Challenge is FEELINGS and FICTION. The happy, sad, funny, silly, envious, over the top and totally low down account of feelings in 100 words of fiction.
Diane smiled at Rita who promptly nodded and smiled back. They met often in the lift but hardly spoke. They were beautiful but as different as could be, Rita was cool, svelte and always wearing crisply ironed clothes as if she was going to an important meeting. Diane was frumpy and casually dressed as if she was going nowhere except the garage for cleaning it.
Each time they met Diane wondered what fun event was Rita off to? Today was no different as they smiled to each other except Rita thought, “How much fun she has being so utterly free.”

True..we always judge though we know it is not a good thing to do.
So lil words, but splendid!
We always think the other person is better and vice versa.
My topic for J is same – “Jealous”. 🙂 Read it
Perceptions and the habit of judging people by their looks can make a big difference.
Loved this one <3
Isn’t it so true that the grass is always greener on the other side! One man’s routine life is another’s dream!

Thats so true.. we do judge the book by its cover after all.
oh! jealousy and envy isn’t a good thing to have. but this is a well-penned tale Indy! the contrast is stark!
A sharp observation. You’ve injected the emotions so well when we pass someone, offer a smile without interaction. Smile is another way for conversation in the mind.
