Book Review of MIKE AND THE DOG-GONE LABRADOODLE

A dog gets lost and the search that follows leads to new friendships and better understanding between siblings. The hotshot new girl of the school Nic loses her dog and the twins Mike and Maddie offer to help her along with their friends.

They help each other and their new friend and realize the importance of listening and supporting others. The Pet Shop Society is formed by all five of them and this is just the beginning of their adventures.
I enjoyed the relaxed tone and language of the book, very suitable for our young readers since it mimics their own. It is a simple, fun story for young readers and the twists and surprises keep it peppy and fun as they go along to solve the puzzle of the missing dog.
The twin brother and sister of Mike and Maddie learn that arguing all the time is not the best approach to sort things and start to have a better understanding and respect for each other.
Making new friends and a brand new detective agency to solve cases involving pets, this book teaches and is a fun read as well. Both boys and girls can identify with the characters and I found Mike so endearing; he reminded me of my son, so naughty and full of ideas.
This is a witty, humorous story that keeps the pages turning, looking forward to new adventures with The  Pet Shop Society!
