Salman, Seth, Shenoy, Shobhaa, Subramanian & Sanghi #AtoZChallenge

S has so many of  the must read authors that  I have chosen 6 authors. Too many you say! But S is a super popular alphabet for names as I learnt today morning courtesy my BAR.
So, I start with the controversial, brilliant and very vocal Salman Rushdie who needs no introduction. Emotions are high in the works of this lady, Preeti Shenoywho has a diehard following for her tear-jerker novels. Next is one of my favorite novelists whom I would love to meet in this lifetime, he could have been in V but I was eager to share about him, the ‘very suitable boy’ Vikram Seth.
Another lady makes it the S list, again she has all the things that make her a very popular, sassy and of course controversial writer, Shobha De. And, yes I have read most of her booksJ Next are two authors whose suspense – thrillers give the best of foregien authors a run for their money! Take a bow, Ravi Subramanian  & Ashwin Sanghi. Luckily I have read many books from all  of these writers; what about you?

He is also the author of a book of stories, East, West, and four works of non-fiction – Joseph Anton – A MemoirImaginary Homelands, The Jaguar Smile, andStep Across This Line.  His novel, Midnight’s Children (1981), catapulted him to literary notability. This work won the 1981 Booker Prize and, in 1993 and 2008, was awarded the Best of the Bookers as the best novel to have received the prize during its first 25 and 40 years.  Midnight’s Children follows the life of a child, born at the stroke of midnight as India gained its independence, who is endowed with special powers and a connection to other children born at the dawn of a new and tumultuous age in the history of the Indian sub-continent and the birth of the modern nation of India.
Preeti Shenoy is listed among the Forbes List of the 100 most influential celebrities of India 2013 edition, Preeti Shenoy, who is among the best-selling authors in India (Source: Nielsen scan) weaves magic with her words and pictures.
