I diced the onions, tomatoes, ginger & garlic finely, roasting them till golden brown. I added the fresh chicken pieces and spices; cooking them just the way she had.
Hoping it would turn out perfect as I served it.
The compliments flowed and I smiled; all that heat was worth it!
Agreeing to what my grandmother said, “You have roasted it well or it would have tasted bland even with the best ingredients”
I beamed proudly as the guests licked their fingers and nodded with their mouths’ full.
