RESILIENT RAG DOLLS

Women are the backbone of every house, every society and every country in this whole world. If someone says that women are not equally important or more in a relation, they are wrong.

Yet what we hear at so many times across so many places is the total neglect and abuse of women everywhere.
No matter what ever a woman does, how much she accomplishes there are people waiting to judge her and tell her she is not good enough.
As women we are taught to bear it, be silent and let it pass as all these experiences will make us stronger. We as women are the wiser sex, made to understand to hold out tongue, hold our thoughts, our feelings and our passions.
I do not believe it – I think it is bullshit fed to the girls so they don’t outshine the boys and men. They are taught to absorb every insult, abuse and put down so it becomes a second nature for them. They continue to be subservient to men.

A very popular quote that I think encourages both the positive and negative is, “Women are like teabags, they show their true colors when put in hot water”.
Yes it speaks of great strength of a woman and her resilience but at the same time, why we have to put her in ‘hot water’?
Do we talk of putting men in hot water? Or testing them in any manner for that matter???
Right from time immemorial the women have been put to tests for their image, their love, their truth, their honesty and even their lives ???
What it makes them, are dolls – Ragdolls but Resilient Ragdolls.
In spite of all the mishandling they strive and survive and mange to stand tall.
This song by Aerosmith resonates with my thoughts and words for today’s alphabet.
Resilient Ragdolls……like the Diamonds we all love – sparkling and shining in spite of all the hardships.
RAG DOLL LYRICS by AEROSMITH

Rag Doll, livin’ in a movie
Hot tramp, Daddy’s little cutie
So fine, they’ll never see ya
Leavin’ by the back door, man
Hot time, get it while it’s easy
Don’t mind, come on up and see me
Rag Doll, baby won’t you do me
Like you done before

I’m feelin’ like a bad boy
Mmm, just like a bad boy
I’m rippin’ up a Rag Doll
Like throwing away an old toy
Some babe’s talkin’ real loud
Talkin’ all about the new crowd
Try and sell me on an old dream
A new version of the old scene
Speak easy on the grape vine
Keep shovelin’ the shoe shine
Old tin lizzy, do it till you’re dizzy
Give it all ya got until you’re put out of your misery

(Chorus)
Rag Doll, livin’ in a movie
Hot tramp, Daddy’s little cutie
So fine, they’ll never see ya
Leavin’ by the back door, man
Hot time, get it while it’s easy
Don’t mind, come on up and see me
Rag Doll, baby won’t you do me
Like you done before

Yes, I’m movin’, Yes I’m movin’
get ready for the big time
Tap dancing on a land mine
Yes I’m movin’, Yes I’m movin’
Old tin lizzy, do it till you’re dizzy
Give it all ya got until you’re put out of your misery

(Chorus)
Rag Doll, livin’ in a movie
Hot tramp, Daddy’s little cutie
So fine, they’ll never see ya
Leavin’ by the back door, man
Hot time, get it while it’s easy
Don’t mind, come on up and see me
Rag Doll, baby won’t you do me, baby won’t you do me, baby won’t you do me…
Like you done before (huh huh)

Yes, I’m movin’, Yes I’m movin’
Get ready for the big time
I get crazy on the moonshine
Yes, I’m movin’, I’m really movin’

Slow gin fizzy
Do it till you’re dizzy
Give it all you got until you’re put out of your misery

(Repeat Chorus)
Rag Doll, livin’ in a movie
Hot tramp, Daddy’s little cutie
So fine, they’ll never see ya
Leavin’ by the back door, man
Hot time, get it while it’s easy
Don’t mind, come on up and see me
Rag Doll, baby won’t you do me
Like you done before

Rag Doll, livin’ in a movie
Hot tramp, Daddy’s little cutie
So fine, they’ll never see ya
Leavin’ by the back door, man
Hot time, get it while it’s easy
Don’t mind, come on up and see me
Rag Doll, baby won’t you do me
Like you done before.
