Neutral #atozchallenge

N

Through the month of April I am writing along with 1900 participants for the A to Z Challenge. My theme for the Alphabet Challenge is FEELINGS and FICTION. The happy, sad, funny, silly, envious, over the top and totally low down account of feelings in 100 words of fiction.

“You will not even try to do it even if it was possible!”  Sandy spoke sharply as she shut the door with a bang.

She looked at her frowning and continued her barrage of words, “You could have at least asked her if she would try my choice?”

Martha continued to read as she let the words flow over her.

Sandy sat next to Martha and touched her arm, ensuring she looked up from her tablet. “Please tell her my choice is better, we can try it!”

“You both are my daughters, how can I pick any one?” replied Martha.

Here are the feelings I explored!

Amused

Brave

Contempt

Depressed

Elated

Frustrated

Guilty

Hostile

Intrigued

Jealous

Kindness

Love

It can be tough for a parent to pick one child over the other but staying neutral all the time isn’t easy either. A tough choice!
